Hide & Encrypt Your Files

All Microsoft's Windows based operating systems come with a built-in utility for encrypting and hiding files and folders for better PC Health.

When you use the "Hide" method it will not completely secure a file, combining the "Hidden" and "Encrypted" file attributes will significantly increase the security of any given file. Trying to build right into the File Properties dialog box in every file, hiding and encrypting files in your Windows computer is a simple operation and it is good for your PC Health. Just follow these steps to hide and encrypt your files.

Firstly right-click on the file that you wish to hide or encrypt and select "Properties" from the context menu. Secondly try to open the "General" tab and click the check box for "Hidden". Thirdly just click on the "Advanced" button and then click the check box for "Encrypt contents to secure data."

Lastly just click "OK" and then "Apply". After this a "Confirm Attribute Changes" dialog box will open. From there select your option, "Apply changes to this folder only" or "Apply changes to this folder, subfolder, and files," and click "OK." Then just click "OK" to exit the File Properties window.

Therefore after following the steps your file is now hidden and encrypted. This will help your PC Health considerably.
