Google Takes Over Picnik

Google, the Internet giant is on an acquisition spree. After a series of acquisitions last year, 2010 does not seem to be any different. For years, Google has believed in setting new trends and standards and the latest firm to figure in its acquisition list is Picnik, a photo editing site. The best brains of both the firms have agreed on the deal and for a small firm like Picnik it’s just a walk into dreamland. As Google already has a global photo editing site called Picasa, the deal surely looks a fantastic one as the employees of Picnik can contribute with fresh ideas.

The latest objective of Google is to acquire small firms as it calls for small investments but the best human resources are available on board. The team working at Picnik is really creative and it surely remains one of the best reasons to go for the decision. According to current statistics, Google has already acquired two firms in the past month and the numbers just seems to increase. Aadvark and Remail were on target last month and now the photo editing site has been added to the kitty.

With the Picnik deal going through the photo editing team of Picasa will be stronger as the best minds can put their thoughts together. Google is undoubtedly the search engine market leader and it has proved it time and again with its stunning ability to dictate how the show should be run.
