You Tube Now For Deaf People
From now You Tube videos on Internet will be more accessible to people who are deaf and those who are hard of hearing. For this you can thank the new automatic captions technology.
This new feature on Internet will initially apply to English language videos, but other languages will also be added in future. This particular Google owned company has claimed the use of speech recognition technology which is probably one of the biggest experiments of its kind on Internet.
According to some Google engineers, they revealed that the technology on Internet behind speech recognition has been around for some time. This particular technology has now become possible to be applied at a large scale on the web.
All students of California School for the Deaf in Freemont were overjoyed with the advent of the new technology. Even they made a video to show the tool's advantage on Internet.
Some engineers are quoting that it is not a complete solution but it is a step on the way to the desirable one. This is a huge step that anyone has ever seen on Internet. This new fact that you can now go on to any video online and expect to see captions is surely unbelievable.
