But at this moment of time quite ironically Chinese viewers cannot log on to the site from their homeland.
But the top Twitter officials are negotiating with the officials of the Chinese government to lift the ban soon. The Chinese registration page is a unique effort on the part of Twitter to catch the attention of the users. Most of the Chinese users are not comfortable with the English language and this welcome move will surely help matters as soon as the ban is lifted.
Currently Twitter does not operate from the Chinese shores and efforts are on so that it has a physical presence in the country. It is the extensive network of the Chinese market which is the main objective of Twitter to set up a base over there in future and the registration page is just an indication.
