Wi-Fi Service For Free
After reading this, you will definitely get a hiccup. As last week only Verizon Wireless not only slashed the price of the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus but they also stopped charging for the Palm Wi-Fi hotspot service.
This particular offering has turned Palm devices into mobile Wi-Fi hotspots and was introduced in January at $40 per month. Even if you are an existing subscriber, you will not be charged for Wi-Fi.
You can say it is a move that likely aims to get Palm devices off the shelf because of a surplus of inventory stemming from slow sales. Verizon Wireless has dropped the price of the Palm Pre Plus down to $50 and the Pixi Plus down to $30 with Wi-Fi included with both. It is also offering a buy-one, get-one-free promotion
Recently CEO of Palm, Jon Rubinstein recently faulted Verizon for failing to meet expectations for its launch of Palm's products in late January, but said the companies are working together to improve sales.
Therefore this Wi-Fi service will definitely give some extra applause from all Palm lovers. Let’s hope that this will also cover all the loop holes that the company has recently experienced.
