Twitter Users Are Not So Social
Nowadays you often find that Twitter on Internet is a fast-growing social network. But you will find that most of its 50 million accounts merely follow other users rather than posting their own messages.
According to the reports, an enormous 73% of Twitter accounts on Internet have tweeted fewer than 10 times according to a new report from Barracuda Networks which is a Web security company.
About this you can say that Twitter is becoming more of news feed than a social network on Internet. This off course raises the questions about its growth potential, as well as how the Internet phenomenon will make money.
By the end of December 2009, only 21% of Twitter account holders can be defined as "true users". This means that someone who has at least 10 followers follows at least 10 people and has tweeted at least 10 times.
This fact off course indicates that most Twitter users come online to follow their favorite celebrities, not to interact with their buddies the way they do on Facebook or MySpace. Therefore you can say that all those twitter users on Internet are not so social after all.
