From now your walkman will start talking with you. As recently Sony has unveiled a series of new Walkman speaker docks in its homeland.
It’s all new NAS-V5 and NAS-V7M sport has a built-in Wi-Fi and will stream radio from the Internet either from a number of 9,000 pre-programmed vTuner stations or Shoutcast MP3 broadcast.

These even have CD players and can rip CDs directly to an attached Walkman. NAS-V7M can also rip music directly to a built-in storage with 16GB capacity. You can even find AM/FM radios and 15W of total power in it.

There is another device called RDP-NWV500 which is meant for the cup holder of a car and has a cone-shaped design that is capable to provide 16W of sound power. It acts the same way as a regular speaker system does, while being more convenient for drivers.
The driver itself can even adjust sound without looking at the device. For this you can thank to a ring-shaped volume controller. This particular device even has its own cradle which can be used at home and can be run from the car’s 12V port and also to the usual wall outlet.

These Wi-Fi capable radios will be available from June 26th for an equivalent price of $428 for the V5 and $535 for the V7M. For those NWv500 and NW1, they will be available from April 24th and their prices will be $214 and $139, respectively.
