Customize Your Folder Icons In Windows XP


Windows XP is one of the most broadly used operating system. It is mainly because this program allows total customization which allows users to create file folders that have customized icons, among a variety of other useful features.

Firstly you just have to create a new folder. For this you have to simply right click on your desktop and select “New” from the menu that opens. After you select this it will open another submenu from which you will scroll to and select “New Folder” in Windows XP.

After this just rename the folder. This particular new folder will be placed on your desktop and your cursor will flash in the file field. You have to enter your desired name here for the folder. To implement the name change, click anywhere on the desktop.

From there try to access the folder customization menu. Now just right-click on the folder and select “Properties.” From your properties box, left-click on the “Customize” tab.

Try to choose a custom icon for your folder in Windows XP. Now just under your folder properties menu click on the button labeled as “Change Icon”. After this a box will open where you can scroll left and right through the icons gallery. When you find an icon you like, left click on it and then click on the “Ok” button. This step will take you back to the folder's "Properties" menu. Just implement those changes. If you want to change the folder icon, click on the “Ok” button.

By following these steps you can easily customize your folder icons in Windows XP.
