Tips to Set Up Your Wi-Fi Connection



Wi-Fi is the most available wireless Internet service which is getting more popular day by day. So you need to know how to set up your Wi-Fi connection. Wi-Fi will be turned off automatically when you turn off your device. To set up your Wi-Fi connection, just follow these steps.

1. Click on Start, click Connections, and then click Wireless Manager.

2. Click Menu, click Wi-Fi Settings and click Wireless tab.

3. Click Add New.

4. Enter these following information:
• In Network name, enter the name of your connection.
• In Connects to, select Internet or Work.
• When you want to connect directly to another device or computer and not to a network through an access point, just select This is a device to device (ad hoc) connection.
5. Click Next
6. On Configure Network Authentication screen, do the following:
• Select your authentication and data encryption methods.
• Enter network key information or select, The key is automatically provided, check box.
7. Click Next.
8. Select or clear Use IEEE 802.1X network access control check box.
9. To use an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) or a smart card authentication, just select an authentication of your choice.

10. Click Finish.

Follow these steps and set up your own Wi-Fi connection on your PC.
